Spent the weekend in Canmore, done some fishing but the rivers are really swollen from all the rain they've had. We done a hike up to Grassy Lakes, wow what beauty. There is a easy trail and a hard trail. The hard trail is the way to go it is a fascinating hike a picturesque view of Canmore, a turquoise lake and canal, a hundred foot plus drop waterfall. The Grassy Lakes themselves are stunning, only approximately about forty meters across. The algae growing in the water is a grass color, then when the sun shines it's rays in the water the algae almost turns to a fluorescent green. Small trout can be seen right to the bottom of the fifteen feet of crystal clear water. This is a must hike, but take the hard trail both ways.
