What's Earned
It seems that today's world does not respect things the way they used to be. That the amount of respect that is given is directly related to the amount that is earned. The harder respect is to earn the more respect that is felt. Some people use pieces of this world as stepping stones with no respect for what other people have earned. Is it jealousy or is it just people who have grown up with out having to feel the pain of nothing and having to work hard and give all they can, because suffering is one of the best teachers, the best teacher of respect.

Getting Closer
Summers here, after the six weeks in March of no crunches and pushups getting closer to catching up to where the numbers for UBBT are suppose to be. Persistence is the best way to describe it, a little extra crunches and pushups each day and we will get there. Fifty extra a day and one hundred and twenty six days latter there we are the numbers will be back on schedule.

Pause
A practice of self control prevents desire from becoming a dictator. Discipline of the tongue is verbal restraint. Discipline of the diet is restraint at the dinner table. As for the temper exercise emotional restraint. For our thoughts exercise mental restraint. Before taking any step to satisfy our desires. Taking a three second pause when an impulse hits you, before taking action. This three seconds will give you a time to take a quick assessment of what the consequences might be, these three seconds could save you some embarrassment later. Pausing instead of reacting.

Directions, Which One
What is society doing is it moving in the direction God, peace and love or is it moving in the direction of falsehoods and dismay.
You choose your path.
If you choose the path of falsehood and dismay it will gladly follow you and help you be guided into the worst of the worst. It will be there to help you into your wildest dreams. Into all the hurt and unrest that you can imagine. All you have to do is keep that negative outlook on life and it will deliver. It will keep you angry at life and eventually turn you into a bitter old person.
But if you choose the path of the positive. Life can be very fulfilling. Choosing God or higher being, peace and love that is the path that life on this great old earth will transcend to you. It will give you the tools that you need to make good things happen. Not saying life is going to be spectacularly easy. Back to the basics. Displaying and believing in discipline, respect, love, peace and joy. These will be given back to you. What is earned is gained, what is gained is yours.

Beauty
Spending the week in the Rocky Mountains the sun broke out on the second day and stayed with us for the rest of the week. The fish were biting, walking and biking the trails, caught my first trout, and a three pounder. A week of cooking on the open fire just seems to make food taste so much better. It just seemed disheartening to come back to reality when life in the mountains was so beautiful and relaxing. It is beautiful when you can't remember what day of the week it is. Home again and yes back to reality, cutting the grass and back to work.
